Why Modern Convenience Might Be Sabotaging Your Child’s Growth

We live in a world where everything is just a tap away... meals, entertainment, answers to questions, even reminders to drink water.
But when it comes to raising kids, especially neurodivergent kids, all that convenience can come at a cost.
Because the truth is, executive function skills aren't taught. They're built through experience, trial and error, and age-appropriate challenges.
I recently recorded a quick video breaking this down:
When we (or the world) do all the thinking, organizing, or problem-solving for them, our kids miss out on the chance to develop the very skills they need to thrive.
That’s exactly why I created my 8-week parent coaching cohort. If your home has felt stuck in a reactive loop or you’re constantly trying to manage meltdowns, transitions, or motivation, I want to invite you into my next 8-week parent coaching cohort.
Inside the program, I help you:
✅ Break out of stress cycles
✅ Support your child’s executive function growth
✅ Build more calm and connection at home
This isn’t about trying harder, it’s about doing things differently. With the right tools, guidance, and support.
If you’re ready to shift things in your home, I’d love to support you.
Best,
Caroline Fitsimones, MS, OTR/L
